1.We started out the year with worry...Scott, the financial backer of our family lost his job to a layoff in February.
but God said...
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Matthew 6:34
2. In March we started attending a new church, Heartland Church in Carrollton, Texas. It was a breath of fresh air. Where we came from a chuch that was small in size and our children were struggling to make friends. They really needed the fellowship of a larger church family. So we we moved on from the little church and it proved to be a wise decision for the entire family. We waited patiently and listened for God to tell us Heartland should be our Church home. We attended from March until October and after much prayer we officially joined their congregation. In his heart a man plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps. Proverbs 16:9
3. In April, Colton turned 4 and after eight weeks of unemployment and a stressful job search...National Indoor Storage called Scott and offered him his job back!
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11
4.In May, I decided since our financial future looked promising and God had met all of our needs, I would take Caleb on his first Airplane trip to North Carolina to visit family! And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19
5. In June we began the process of trying to have another baby!
Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, The fruit of the womb is a reward.
Psalm 127:3
6. In July after only ONE cycle of fertility treatments we find out were PREGNANT!
For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. Psalm 139:13
7. In August we CELEBRATED! Christa turned 10 and Chelsea sweet 16 then we celebrated some more with Caleb turning a year old September 3rd!!! We also celebrated Caleb's baby dedication with our new Church Family!
And the child grew and became strong in spirit. Luke 1:80
8. September 23rd at 12 weeks pregnancy we found out the baby that I was carrying had no heartbeat. Much to our disappointment only 4 days later, I was scheduled for a DNC. Asking “What now, Lord?” instead of “Why, Lord?” is a hard lesson to learn. It's hard to ask the right question when you’re feeling disappointed. It's hard to ask when your heart is breaking. It's hard to ask “What now?” when your dreams have been shattered. But your life will begin to change when you start asking God, "What would you have me do now, Lord?
"God blesses you who weep now, for the time will come when you will laugh with joy." Luke 6:21
9. October came and went by fast. Halloween was here and gone before I knew it. Colton was Spiderman, Christa was Mother Nature, Chelsea was a Vampire and Caleb well he was a tiger although I really wanted him to wear the bear suit. Halloween was quickly followed by Thanksgiving my favorite time of year! We had so much to be thankful for. God had shown his mercy on us so many times through out this year. We celebrated with family. Aunt Amanda came over and watched the Macy's Day Parade with the kids while I cooked our Turkey dinner! Thanksgiving turned into black Friday quickly as Toys R Us opened at 10pm this year on Thanksgiving night. Yes. I was there, in line, and freezing.
" And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him." Colossians 3:17
10. December. What can I say other than we were tired. The kids participated in the Heartland Church Christmas performance. The girls and I also had the opportunity to do some volunteer work just before the Holidays. We needed the break of the Holidays more this year than any other year I think. Our Christmas was beautiful. We stayed at home in Texas and had a plentiful yet relaxing Christmas! Who would have thought back in February that we would be able to even buy gifts for our own kids this year. Yet God allowed us to bless not one but TWO angels on 2 different angel trees this year! God is good and he is Faithful. He proves himself each and every day in our lives and for that I am THANKFUL!
So Long 2010. We are pleased to welcome 2011. God has big plans for our family this year and we are excited to see them fulfilled!
Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4
extol him, all you peoples.
2 For great is his love toward us,
and the faithfulness of the LORD endures forever. Praise the LORD!
Happy New Year!

Loved this Susan! I can see where God has answered my prayers as well as I have been praying for your family all year, at different times. God is good. He is faithful. He is true. His mercy endures forever. Praise His name.
