My big boy Colton goes to school!

So Colton is off to his second day of Kindergarten. Here are a few pics from yesterday morning and today as he was getting on the bus! He really loves school so far. I am still homeschooling my girls and staying home with Caleb but Colton really wanted to go to kindergarten and since all of my other children did have a public school kindergarten experience, I felt I needed to let him go. We miss him and have found our selfs watching the clock wondering what he is doing at that time and thinking about all of the the things we want to ask him about school when he gets home. I think Christa misses him the most. She waits with him at the bus stop each morning and then goes and waits for him to get off the bus in the afternoon. Christa and Colton really bonded this Summer. They played alot together and now she is back to her homeschool assignments. She is doing 6th grade this year and Chelsea is finishing up her LAST year of homeschool. WOW how time can just passes us by if we are not careful. Caleb is enjoying all of the mommy time he is getting now that Colton is gone all during the school day. He needs to enjoy his alone time while he can because, I am 29 and 1/2 weeks pregnant with our sweet baby girl. She will be making her entrance into the family late October. We have so much to look forward to as a family in the coming days. The last few pics are from our family weenie roast we hosted a few weeks ago.

Caleb also likes anything in a Sonic cup. He likes to sit on the bar stool and cook with daddy. I guess you could say he has good taste!

Can I just say again, I love this little guy!

Unexpected Sonogram Today

Today I will go at 2:50 for a sono to make sure everything is ok with our little one. I had a few complications over the weekend and my doctor would like for me to have a sonogram today just to double check that everything is fine. I feel like everything is fine and I do have complete peace about this pregnancy. I have prayed from the beginning for a full term healthy baby and I am trusting and believing that will be the outcome!

I will update the blog later with the sono results maybe they will be able to tell the gender today???

UPDATE: So the complication they were worried about was Placenta Previa and I indeed have this going on. This will require me to rest A LOT to avoid hospital bed rest. I have already had some spotting and this is cause for concern due to I have complete previa which means the cervix are completely covered. This could result in a pre term baby and a C- section. My hope of course is that none of the above will happen and that the Placenta will move and allow for a normal delivery.

So the girls ask me yesterday if I was going to find out what the baby was today. I boldly told them I already knew what the baby was because the desire of my heart was a baby girl and I knew that GOD was going to give me the desire of my heart so with that said I told them I felt sure this baby was a GIRL.

So the best news of the day is the gender results.....the sono technician "thinks" its a GIRL!!!!!!! :) :) :) This was the most wonderful news of my YEAR! I have prayed for a girl since the last miscarriage. I just want to THANK my Lord for loving me and giving me the desires of my heart.

Psalm 37:4 Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart.

Relief

The definition of relief is the easing of a burden or distress. Today that's exactly what I received. I went to my 11 week doctors visit hoping to hear this little ones heart beat and behold we heard that tiny little beating heart at a beautiful 184 BPM! That to me fits the definition of relief. Tonight, I am basking in God's love for me and praying that this pregnancy produces a full term healthy baby girl !

In other news, I took Caleb for a hair cut today at Hair Diddle Diddle and they gave him a very handsome hair cut! The best part for him is they gave him a sucker to eat...this is the first one he has ever had and he LOVED it! I guess his Easter basket may have a few of those this year :)

Caleb after his hair cut still eating his sucker!

It's been awhile

Sorry, I know its been awhile since I post anything. I am currently 10 weeks and 4 days pregnant! Things look good as far as I can tell. I have a doctors appointment on Thursday afternoon. I am trying to be relaxed about the appointment but truth is I'm really SCARED. I guess its because the last 11 week appointment I went to pregnant, I found out about the miscarriage. It was sooo disappointing and sooo unexpected. I had no signs of miscarriage at all. SOOO even though I feel fine and I have NO sign of miscarriage this time I still have anxiety about going to this appointment.. I know I need to trust and I want to TRUST.  Its just really hard to do after a loss. I promise to update the blog on Thursday after my appointment. I am hoping to hear the heartbeat :)
